Basic Nail course - Nail Shaping & Nail polishing

Finally, I have made the decision.

I've decided to take the Full Nail Course at OPI Nail Academy.

Colour Culture (OPI Nail Academy) is located in Mid Valley Cite, North Point. Easily access by public transport. This is the main reason I choose this academy. Besides that, OPI is a very famous brand. I think the certificates is more value than the others

Monday, I went there alone.
The environment is comfort.

I've signed the course immediately and start class on the spot!

First of all, I have to check the products come with this package. Includes:

OPI bag. Allow student to carry the tools with this bag.

Different types of Files. Total in 5.
Gold Board, 120 Grit
Silver Cushioned, 180 Grit
Leveler, 250 Grit,
Smoother, 400 Grit,
The Fluffy.

In conclusion, The number shows the roughness of the surface. The smaller the number, the roughter the surface.

Hence, Gold board is pairs with Leveler and Silver cushioned pair with Smoother.
Why is it need 2 different pairs?
Reason : Hygene

Gold Board and Leveler are use to toe nail
While Silver cushioned and smoother are use for hand nails.

Fluffy is to remove all the nail filing and dust.

This is Pedicure Set.

3 tip boxes.
The Top left, is White Tip, Top right is Clear Tip while the bottom is Natural Tip.

 OPI Chipskip, OPI Nipper, OPI based coat and top coat, Nail cutter

 OPI Hand Lotion, Dispenser, OPI Nail Remover, The fake finger.


First lesson, is Basic Nail Course (25 hours).

- Nail Shaping

There are 5 nail shapes.
Guess what is it?
1 - Square
2 - Squarel
3 - Round
4 - Oval
5 - Pointer

When we use the file to file the nail, it has to be 90 degree to the nail.

Let me show you guys my works.

This class, we were using the Natural Tip.

The first row was did by the teacher. (From left to right - Square, Squarel, Round and Oval)
The second and third row were my works. It isn't that perfect as compare to first row, but I, myself still feel it is acceptable.

Next article I'm gonna teach you guys how to file for different type of nail with details description.

- Nail Polish

Know the proper way to hold the nail polish, check the nail polish texture, and the proper way to polish

Firstly, we will practise on paper.

Obviously the RED COLOUR one was did by Teacher and the rest... was by ME. (T_T)

Don't worry, I will work harder
